Our Story
KARIBU Animal Trail is a Non-Profit organization registered under the terms and conditions of Non Governmental Organization act of Tanzania with a registration number 00NGO/R1/00396. KARIBU is a swahili word means "welcome",the name of our organization reflect the fact that we want to invite humans to the world of animals. Animals love unconditionally, they don’t always asking for something, they don’t judge others, they appreciate attention and they are very protective and loyal, just Imagine if all humans will have these quality of characters ,the world will be in peace between humans and no one will even dare to hurt or harm animals.KARIBU Animal Trail was founded by a Tanzania Animal activist Abbas Mvungi and a Japanese Animal activist Sachiko Hirata in 2019 by the name "Education & Art for animal Welfare" before it changed to the current name on 29th day of Jan 2022.
If you're planning to visit Serengeti National Park or Ngorongoro Conservation area in Tanzania you might probably be able to see our office Direction board beside the main road in Rhotia Village, If you have some minutes please stop by to say hello to our team. It will also be a great opportunity to meet the animals that we are helping and support them with what you can.

All our team members are dedicated volunteers from different nationalities, some are working direct in our programs and others are supporting the organization activities from their countries, this means you can volunteer with us from anywhere in the world.
